Bùi Quỳnh Anh

FOR MY PASSION

However, Bui Quynh Anh’s journey now lacks the sapodilla tree, family, and solid financial support. Navigating each step of this journey requires a great deal of energy.
Therefore, this section aims to explain where Quỳnh Bùi draws her energy from.

POSTER FILM

I have a love for art that was formed through my love for literature. To call it love seems grand and significant, but ultimately, I enjoy experiencing and feeling art (including film, books, music, and photography).
Therefore, I often turn to movies (which are suitable whether I’m looking for something truly artistic or simply entertaining). If possible, it would be a theatrical release

QUANH - COLLECTION

Beautiful, humorous, profound, and captivating—manga is, for me, the pathway to reading literature and art.
Manga has been and will likely always be the way Quỳnh Bùi sees the world. This collection of manga represents a form of long-term spiritual value. Manga is a type of ‘trivial’ value that Quỳnh will sacrifice for.
So, paradoxically, every time I feel empty from buying a comic, my heart fills up a little.

QUANH - MUSIC

Starting from Sơn Tùng M-TP’s albums a decade ago to the songs of Chase Atlantic today, music has always accompanied Quỳnh Bùi on her journey of growing up.
Especially during stressful times, Rock and R&B are effective ways to relieve pressure and satisfy her. When she’s happy, Rock and R&B are the genres to dance to and fall asleep with.

QUANH AND THE CATS

I used to not like animals. It’s just that fate led me to care for two cats by myself later on… and they really made my moments of solitude a little bit lighter

QUANH: ON THE ROAD

How much does it take to buy happiness? $393—just enough for a motorbike bought from some unnamed store, without any further accessories like a cushion, basket, or rearview mirror. $393 for a motorbike, cheap enough for my father (who never pays for anything else) to part with his money. That motorbike, which I named ‘Dog,’ breaks down often: flat tires, broken inner tubes, gasoline problems all happen when I’m riding somewhere on the street. That being said, Dog always got my full attention: it is the only moving vehicle I have to run errands and go to school, the only thing my father ever gave to me.

Thanks to Dog, I discovered new roads even in places that seemed familiar, found my love for riding motorbikes, and enjoyed the feeling of the wind blowing as I cruised through new paths. Thanks to Dog, I realized I love going on road trips and exploring nature. All because of $393.

So, when I ride a motorbike, I feel the most free.
